Modern industrial farming has created a food production model that is not only unhealthy, but unsustainable as well. The reliance on GMO-derived products and the toxic chemicals used alongside them are destroying the environment and the public’s health.

To combat the encroaching influence of big GMO companies, I encourage you to support businesses that practice regenerative farming. This food production model benefits both humans and the environment because it rebuilds topsoil by sequestering atmospheric carbon into the ground, promotes nutrition and health through nutrient-dense, organic food and restores damaged ecosystems through regenerative farming methods.

If all this sounds good and you want to be a part, the solution is actually quite simple — buy healthy, organic food. One of the best things you can do is to purchase your food from local small-business farmers. To help you in your search, I recommend visiting these websites that will point you to non-GMO food producers in your area:

Farm Match
https://www.farmmatch.com
Demeter U.S.A.
https://www.demeter-usa.org
Weston A. Price Foundation

Aside from supporting your local farmers, I encourage you to contribute to the Billion Agave Project by Regeneration International. The goal of this ecological movement is to plant one billion agaves that will help sequester atmospheric carbon into the soil and subsequently become an inexpensive source of animal fodder.

If there’s one program that encapsulates regenerative farming, the Billion Agave Project is it. To tip the scales in favor of sustainable agriculture, I urge you to donate to this innovative campaign.
